Sobre el Anexo II

El Anexo II del Reglamento (CE) 1223/2009 enumera las sustancias cuyo uso está expresamente prohibido en productos cosméticos comercializados en la Unión Europea. La inclusión en este anexo resulta de la evaluación científica del Comité Científico de Seguridad de los Consumidores (SCCS), que determina que la sustancia no puede utilizarse de forma segura en ningún producto cosmético con independencia de la concentración o categoría de uso. Una vez publicada la prohibición en el Diario Oficial de la UE mediante un Reglamento de la Comisión, los fabricantes y Personas Responsables tienen un período transitorio para retirar del mercado los productos no conformes. La base de datos CosIng, mantenida por la Comisión Europea, actualiza este listado periódicamente.
